Join the Coded by Kids team and our student competitors for the final presentations and judging of our annual Ctrl+Shift competition. Students will be presenting websites they have created individually, or as a team, during the course of the competition.

The event will feature a panel discussing what it means to attract and build the future diverse workforce in STEM fields. Panelists include Secretary Newsome, Andy Mulumba of SAP, Jamila Cowan-Wideaman of Dell Technologies, and Cindy Leaviett, the CIO at Temple University.

Opening remarks will be made by Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary Newsome.

About Ctrl+Shift: Ctrl+Shift is a city-wide coding competition open to all students between the ages of 13-18 attending any school in Philadelphia and Delaware. The goal of Ctrl+Shift is to give students the opportunity to think boldly and build projects that change the way they interact with their communities. Students submit website projects in one of the following categories: arts, education, social impact, or entrepreneurship.
